Weber quality and Jamie Purviance excellence Iâ??m a big fan of Jamie Purviance and the Weber cookbooks. I was wary of purchasing this, as many of the Weber cookbooks have duplicate recipes, but this had some great unique and new recipes. The ones Iâ??ve tried are great, canâ??t wait to try the rest!
Great book, difficult binding. Food and recipe wise it is very good…content is great. But binding execution is poor. Book does not lay flat, important for a cookbook. For example on “Rubs and Pastes” and “Marinades and Brines” pages it is very difficult to even see quantities on the right side pages. I expect more from Jamie Purviance and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Would have given it five stars if not for this annoyance.
Binding fell apart within 2 months of light use I own all of the weber cookbooks because they have amazing recipes that never let me down. However, every single book has fallen apart at the binding forcing me to either get a new copy or go get them spiral bound at a print shop. This newest book is supposed to be hard cover and I was thrilled to hear that Weber was finally dealing with this issue. However, even though it is hard cover and cost more, they are still using cheap, glued bindings that are no better than the old paperback…
