Well made, like most Weber products Like most other Weber branded products Iâ??ve purchased, this is very well built and very handy for cooking veggies on the grill.There are 2 minor drawbacks. The first is price. A wee bit expensive but it is well made.The second is the room it takes up. It consumes 1/3 of the grill. Go aftermarket? Not sure what’s on with Weber’s design & engineering divisions. This item takes up a lot of space, but the cooking surface is quite small. It was designed for, but it does NOT fit my genesis II 3-series very well at all Gaps are large enough to lose a hotdog in. What’s the purpose of the curved side? And it’s very deep, so things will get lost in the corners, and careful with your nuckles when turning your food, that you don’t burn them on the very large lip. And the slope on the cooking…
Griddle Built to Last It weighs a ton! If you drop it on the ground, you’ll break the ground. The porcelain coating looks awesome. Will need a bit of seasoning to get it the way I like. Has a drain hole in the back, which will be good for bacon. I can see placing this in and leaving it. Like the SS grill grates, an old cloth soaked in water will clean it right up, assuming it is hot. Got this for my Genesis II LX S-400. Fits right in and tight.
