Well worth the upgrade One big reason, among many, that I love Weber grills is the fact that they offer replacement and upgrade parts for pretty much everything they sell, and for many years beyond purchase. After six summers of regular use, the original cast iron cooking grates and enameled steel flavorizer bars in my Genesis grill had rusted out, which is not unexpected. Better than the Cast Iron it came with, doesn’t stay shiny for long but that’s expected at 600 degrees Much easier to clean than the stock cast iron ones, the color is lost almost immediately after use and it turns black which is fine but if you were expecting to have a pretty stainless finish forever you’re in for a surprise. Doesn’t rust like the stock ones did and are very easy to clean just remember to flip them over every once and a while scrape the bottom clean
Amazing grates. So happy I upgraded to these. Great quality. Great quality grates, or should I say, “grate” quality… Get it?. These look amazing. Have held up over 4 months of use and I love cooking on them. A great upgrade to the enameled cast iron grates my grill came with. Worth the money to upgrade. I know these will stand the test of time as long as I take care of them and keep them clean.
