Great grates – just be sure to take care of them. This is my second set of these grates for an old Weber Silver A grill. These are a definite upgrade from the “porcelain enameled iron” or enameled steel grates typical of grills these days. Why the package says these are porcelain on iron I have no idea. Once you open the box inside the box it will clearly state these are cast iron.
Better than the “stock” grate. But pricey I’m no expert on grills or grates. But I love my grilled chicken thighs and my grilled Porterhouse steaks.
5 Star Grates, incorrect porcelain advertising I deduct one star for the advertising of these grates, beyond this webpage but also on the Weber box itself; having the true image of plain cast iron grates, yet, also a circular picture showing porcelain enamel grates and a description stating these are enamel coated. I could not discern any coating on these grates…exactly what I wanted. Remove the porcelain coating information and I will raise to a 5 Star review.
