Solid Thermometer, Easy Installation I installed this on a grill that previously had no thermometer. This thermometer comes with the required wingnut and that is it. Installation could not have been easier– drill the proper sized hole, pop this in, and tighten down the wingnut.Careful if you have a double walled lid (two layers of metal with an air gap in between) as you’ll have to drill through two layers of steel, then figure out how to get the wingnut behind the one layer so you can reach the threads and secure the…
The threads only go about a third of the way … The threads only go about a third of the way up the back post leaving the rest of it smooth. I tried to put it on my double walled smoker and the threads didn’t go far enough through for me to get the wing nut on. I’ll be returning it.
Cute, small, good quality. Great appearance and fits our grill stainless steel from 16 yrs ago, so easy to install. Works well , today we did crab cakes perfectly with the right temperature.
