Getting the temp right takes some watching but after that you are good to jump in the pool to wait for it … As a beginner smoker, I have found that you have to heat this one up to 290 to get it smoking and then Put your meat on and lower temp. Great smoking for the beginner I have used this smoker almost every weekend for the last two months. I have smoked chicken, salmon, boston butt, and ribs. Everything has been amazing. It is so easy. Read the other reviews as well as mine. Some of the keys I picked up are to heat the unit up to 300 for 15 min to get the wood chips smoking. Another reviewer said they put a “tent” of aluminum foil over the wood chips. I do both. It creates so much smoke you have to open the door and stand back before touching…
worth every penny This is obviously not the most expensive or the most high tech electric smoker on the market but I have to say this little baby has been worth every penny. I’ve had this smoker nearly two years and have had zero problems. I’ve smoked salmon, ribs, chicken, fish, burgers, links and even carne asada with amazing results. I love this smoker!
