Not wanting to let 80lbs of propane go to waste, I purchased this adapter and it fits/works perfectly I inherited a large tank with about 80lbs of propane, but my hose would not connect to the tank. That’s when I learned that older tanks required different fittings, and they don’t refill them around where I live. It was the only way we could take one propane tank out to be refilled, but leave the other one running so that certain applilances in the RV could continue to operate while one tank was missing. Some propane regulators, such as ours, would let a small amount of propane bleed as long as one tank has its valve open. works for me I needed this splitter as I was tired of trying to locate a dual hose regulator with hoses long enough to reach the side burner and the main burner connection on my gas grill. Yes I had to buy two single hose regulators, however it was worth it and they are much easier to find (and cheaper)
