Use the Brinkmann Large Stainless Steel Heat Tent to help distribute heat evenly and prevent flare-ups. This Stainless Steel heat tent extends from 15.8 inch up to 17.8 inch .

OK, but the screws rust quickly They are working in my off-brand grill, where none of the non-adjustable units would fit, and factory replacements are unavailable. However, the screws that hold them together are NOT stainless steel, and are beginning to rust after only a few uses. These are not cheap heat tents, and stainless screws and nuts would have only added a few cents and would avoid this issue, so I can only give them 4 stars.
Just what the grill needed These heat tents were wider than the original ones on our brinkmann however, they work great. The extension piece was not needed as the main tent was long enough, but nice it was included. We’ll keep them in case of wear over time to use as a patch, if needed. Overall we are satisfied. Also, with these being wider it is nice to have the areas for wood chips too.
Cheap Stainless might be an overstatement. These are about the same price as the painted steel ones which disintegrate in a few years. That said, these are NOT stainless steel… at least not quality. They are about as magnetic as any steel I’ve seen, and after one firing they are totally brown. I didn’t expect 304 or anything, and I hope they hold up better than the painted steel ones did, but don’t get too excited about the “Stainless” claim. I guess we’ll see in a few years.
