This oven liner is a mat which is designed to catch the flakes, crumbs, over-spills and other messes which can occur while your food is cooking. The food will drop down onto the mat instead of onto the oven floor and shelves, and is made of silicone which makes it easier to clean than if the food were to burn onto the enamel of the oven or the metal of the shelves. The silicone material allows the mat to provide a heat-proof, non-stick quality that makes it completely oven safe and can be trimmed or cut with ordinary scissors to suit your own oven size.
The oven liner has proven to be more effective than using aluminum foil, which can often melt and tear under certain materials and is not heavy-weight enough to stay put; particularly in fan ovens. There is a variety of oven liners available, a Teflon coated option with 0.08mm to 0.16mm thickness and an industrial option with 0.40mm thickness which is suited well with fan ovens. This Franzkitchen branded liner is 0.20mm thick which is thicker than standard home use but not as thick as for industrial use.

First, I checked to see if the heating element would be touching the liner – it did not, so I went ahead and placed it at the bottom. I baked a steak at 425 deg. F and followed it with some veggies without issues. I read the warning on the box again, and yes, it did advice to place this liner on the bottom rack, so I moved it there for safety reasons. I had to cut about an inch because the oven in my apt is…
More of a RACK liner than an oven liner… Says oven liner but then it says NOT to place this one the floor/bottom of your oven. You have to place it on the bottom rack of your oven. It’s a good size and does cover the whole rack, I have an over sized oven and had to cut it down a bit, since it says that the mat should not touch the walls of the oven.It says it is food safe and can even be used as a baking sheet, We do pizza night once a week, (which is really the main thing that gets on the bottom of the oven,…
