the small one fits most grills best This is third smoker box I tried and first that worked well. It doesn’t create a cold spot on the grill above the box, and because it sits down in the grill it stays hot enough to keep the smoker chips smoking.But I bought large size. With a standard size grill (Weber Genesis ), you need to remove both grill grates to refill chips. With a hot grill this is an awkward and somewhat hazardous task. Works better than described!!! Smoker box arrived sooner than expected and I used it the next day. I cooked a pork picnic roast with the skin on and the addition of the box and Hickory chips added a wonderful smoke flavor to the meat. Along with my secret rub the 7 LB roast was so good that there was only about 14 ounces left for tacos tonight. My kids raved about the flavor of the meat and how tender and moist it was.
