“Universal” isn’t exactly the right word Saw other reviews on here about this problem. I was buying it to replace a rusted out burner bar on one of those $200 Char-Broil Lowes grills I’ve had for ~9 years. The gas tubes aren’t the same as in the picture. The one I received were fatter expandable aluminum tubes (look like small diameter dryer hose). Tried to fit the tubes through the firebox but the holes are too small for the couplings. Took a Dremel to the holes and expanded them about 1/8″ in diameter, took about 30 minutes…
Frustrating assembly and install but works good Not necessarily easy to assemble and install, but it worked well enough. One of the first things that confused me is that the instructions show to push the adjustable ends of the burner to where you need them, then screw in two screws to keep it in place. The two smallest screws that came with it did not fit in the holes, so there was nowhere to secure the ends. I just had to leave them. not of highest quality I have had a mixed experience with this burner. first of all, the price is very good and delivery came one day earlier than expected which was a plus. When I opened the box, the plastic was open and parts were everywhere. When I gathered everything, I looked at burner. The burner material is very thin and the hoses look fragile. I am positive I could of broken this if I grabbed it hard by accident. Then I go to put it together and find a bag that is supposed to have two gaskets and some…
