A Competent Electric Grill As an electric grill not being compared to other types such as gas and charcoal, I give this grill four stars. It would have gotten five stars had it not been such a chore to assemble it. I almost took off an additional star because the instructions were strictly drawn pictures without anything written out so I had to use my magnifying glass to discern parts and part numbers. I am stupid. This grill is not. I bought this when there were no reviews on Amazon and figured it would be the same as the other El Patio grills from Charbroil.Unfortunately I fried the element when I plugged it in to a 240v source. D’oh.Then I ordered the wrong element. DOUBLE D’OHCharbroil’s website is severely lacking on info and parts on this new grill. I rang their call centre and it turns out the sticker on the grill lists the INCORRECT element number as 29104990. Correct replacement element is…
Clean Up Headaches A couple of things to note. My first use was grilling hamburgers. Every time you open the lid, there is a lot of heat loss and takes time to recover. It takes patience to use when compared to wood or gas grills. My biggest complaint is the clean up of the burned on grease. It stuck like glue to the grate and inside of grill.
