There appear to be different qualities of Tru-Infared elements.. Some Char-Broil grill models have a Tru-Infared element that is a single sheet that is a separate piece below the grilling surface.. My 3-burner grill has Tru-Infared elements that are part of the grilling surface.. Performance may be the same for both styles, but cleaning is considerably more difficult when the Tru-Infared element is attached to grilling surface..
Nice grill, great sear, very happy This grill is awesome. Arrived quickly and box has straps around it so that it can be easily carried. Assembly ease and time was better than I expected and I had no problem putting it together myself. Once I connected the propane tank and fired it up, was surprised at how hot the grill got. Fantastic Grill I ordered this grill on a Monday for a weekend event and received it on Wednesday. Assembly took roughly 30 minutes with no issues what so ever. The grill looks great and cooks fantastic. This is my first infrared grill and I am very impressed so far.
