Itâ??s not a Weber Grill Very disappointed at the quality of the camp chef products as a whole. After all the advertisement hype I set my hopes high. Beats the competitions “all-in-one” type BBQs. Don’t buy this if you want a big cooking area. It’s barely adequate for just me and my wife, but this stove top BBQ beats anything out there like the Weber Baby-Q for cooking power. Cook your rib-eye steaks on medium flame for 3 minutes on each side and you’ll have perfect medium rare. I did for four minutes while camping at 7000 ft and had medium well steaks, which I do not like, but thankfully the steaks were Angus beef and very tender, so they weren’t a total loss. My wife loves them well…

I recently purchased a Big green egg grate to go under the grill to help with flare ups to disperse the heat better. It didn’t seem to help much I got tired of hauling my camp chef grill and my weber jumbo joe. This works well. Heats up fast. Cooks evenly. I do tend to have a problem with flare ups in the middle.
