The Broil King Regal 440 (model 956167) is powered by natural gas, and it’s also available in a liquid propane model. It features a 50,000 BTU stainless steel Dual-Tube burner, 500 square inches of primary cooking surface, and 695 square inches of total cooking surface (with porcelain coated warming rack). Plus, the Regal 440 includes a high-powered, 10,000 BTU side burner that enables you to create mouth-watering side dishes, soups, and sauces while you grill.
It’s stylishly appointed with a black porcelain-enameled hood panel with double-lined cast aluminum end caps, a stainless steel cook box with cast aluminum end caps, and stainless steel control panel and side shelves. The large cabinet is fully enclosed for strength and protection from the elements, and it offers ample room to store a propane tank, grill cover (not included), and other essentials.
It’s complemented by 7-inch wheels with decorative grey walls and 2.5-inch locking casters. With minimal effort you can slide your grill wherever you want in your backyard or on your patio. But with the flip of a switch, the heavy-duty locking swivel casters keep your grill stationary and stable. The exterior also includes an easy-to-read stainless steel thermometer with a probe that reaches deep into the oven, giving you a more accurate temperature reading.
Broil King’s cooking grids deliver the best heat retention for searing power, which locks in juices and flavor. The Imperial’s stainless steel cooking grids are made of heavy gauge rods. The high quality steel ensures excellent heat retention and long lasting durability, and they’re easy to clean. The cooking grid measures 25.5 x 19.25 inches (WxD).
Broil King’s patented burner technology ensures a consistent flame from front to back, providing even and efficient heat distribution at the cooking surface and eliminating hot and cold spots. The Imperial 490 includes four Dual-Tube burners.
The stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system provides superior heat distribution across the entire surface of the grill and protects the burners. As drippings fall onto the Flav-R-Wave, they are instantly turned into vapor, which infuses your food with that delicious barbecue flavor.
Broil King’s Linear-Flow valves with 180-degree Sensi-Touch control knobs give you infinite heat control, enabling you to set your grill to the perfect temperature for searing, roasting, or slow cooking.
Broil King uses high quality stainless steel for many components. All other steel is coated with zinc and further protected by an epoxy paint that is baked on through a powder-coat process. This premium triple-coat process provides superior rust protection.
