Old Brinkmann sheilds did not last very long They are OK and serve the purpose to more evenly distribute the heat flow on my Brinkmann Grille. The original shields only lasted about 3 years but I do grilling year round so they got a lot of use.
Heavy grill usage for 6 months and no issues…. I have been using these grill plates for about 6 months. We grilled out at least once a week and the grill itself was in use for about an hour at a time. They have endured temperatures up to 450 degrees with out any issues. They have yet to rust, but we take excellent care of our grill. The plates were easy to install and fit perfect. You simply remove the grates, remove the old heat plates and replace with new ones. Heavy and just as described. Nice, heavy steel, made well. Were about 1/2″ too long for my grill, but husband (machinist) was able to cut to size. Others had rusted through, so I needed quickly. These came packaged well and within time frame expected. Only wished they had a few vent holes along sides to allow flames to come through. Now have to grill everything on high because they protect flames a little too much!
