Had very light rain the first night and it leaked from the top seam.Rained again, much heaver and the leak was much greater.If waterproof is important to you (as it is to me), I suggest you select an alternative.Being returned. Very nice cover, stands up to historic rainfall. I bought this back in late July, and have waited to review it until it had been in use for awhile. Well, in the interim, we had a 1,000 year rain event, with over 25 inches of rain in a single 24 hour period. Everything everywhere was wet, except my pit. The cover is constructed of a heavy material, but pliable so that it covers my irregular shaped pit well. Really nice product.
